Given that GPT-4 can write code well enough to generate functional games and web sites, Siri ought to be good enough to listen to a user input and spit out a working Shortcut.

Imagine saying “hey Siri, make me a shortcut that allows me to control the brightness of my lights” or “hey Siri, make an automation that changes my wallpaper to one of my favorite photos every day.” Both can be manually created today.

Shortcuts is powerful but I’d wager most people either don’t know how robust it is or have no idea how to use it (if not both). What would be even better is if Siri noticed actions users commonly take and suggest a Shortcut it preemptively generated.
